I’m currently working on a huge role playing game idea, it’s not much yet (about 100 pages right now), but allow me to give you the basic principles that I take to when I write this game idea.
In this game, realism is what is most important. I want everything to feel natural and believable. A part of that is giving the player the freedom of making (almost) any choice and having the game respond to that properly.So currently, I am still working on the introduction to the game (which is basically a huge tutorial in disguise, as it’s a rather essential part of the story).
That means that I want to put as many aspects of real life into this game in order to accurately portray the motivation that different characters would have for them to respond in a natural and logical way to what the player does or tries to do.
